The Savage Storm moves to 10-1 on the year and will next be in action on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. when it hosts Abilene Christian in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
Destiny Brown turned in her best outing of the season in the win, scoring 21 points and pulling down 16 rebounds, her second double-double of the season.
Elizabeth Dean also added a season high 21 points, while Kacey Russell chipped in 13 points and Whitney Coffey added 10.
Christin Nichols dished out a game-high five assists, while Brown led all defenders with three blocked shots.
SE shot 43.9 percent from the field, including 42.1 from three point range, to best OBU’s 37.7 percent shooting.
The Storm also dominated the glass pulling down 48 rebounds compared to the Tigers’ 39.
The teams traded buckets for the early part of the first half until OBU jumped out to a 19-13 lead midway through the half.
SE then rolled off an 11-1 run less than two minutes to take a 24-20 lead.
OBU would tie the game late in the first half, but another quick 10-0 run by SE would give them a 10 point lead before settling on the 41-33 halftime advantage.
The Storm dominated the beginning and the end of the second half, opening by pushing its lead to as many as 14.
The Tigers closed the gap to 69-63 with 6:55 to play, but SE would again gain its double-digit advantage before ending with the 87-79 win.
