DALLAS, Texas – Southeastern cross country opened the 2022 season with a sixth-place finish at the DBU Orville Rogers XC Opener hosted by Dallas Baptist in Dallas, Texas.

The Savage Storm finished just behind Texas A&M-Commerce, scoring 145 points, leaving them in striking distance of UT-Tyler and UT-Dallas.

SE was paced by newcomer
Sarah Coblentz who turned in a time of 21:24.3 to finish 34
th overall.

She was followed by another new addition in
Arden Kesterson who clocked a run of 21:29.2 to finish 37
th.

Rachel Wynn was the first returner to cross for the Storm, posting a run of 21:32.8 to finish on Kesterson's heels in 28
th.

Makensi Greenwood was next up for SE with a run of 22:00.0 which was good for 43
rd place.

Aliya Carrizales was next in for the Storm with a time of 22:14.3 which put her in 47
th place overall.

Genevi Martinez crossed next after clocking a time of 22:49.6 which was good for a 57
th place finish, while
Savannah Sandoval rounded out the Storm runners in 61
st place with a mark of 22:57.2
