Southeastern Director of Athletics Keith Baxter has announced the hiring of Shawn Hamil to guide the Savage Storm men’s tennis program.

“We are excited to have Shawn join the Southeastern family,” said Baxter, “And look forward to seeing him guide the men’s tennis team to renewed success.”
Hamil has served as administrator and executive director for both Fresh Air Medical Supply and Unity Home Care since 1999 and has been a long-time Durant, Okla., resident.
Hamil played tennis for SE while working on his degree from 1994 to 1998, and was a tennis standout at Hugo High School prior to coming to college.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Southeastern in 1998, and completed a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2007 at Texas A&M-Commerce.
Hamil and his wife, Charlotte Downs Hamil, have two kids, Drew (6) and Zack (8), and reside in Durant.
