SE Returns Home to Host ATU, HU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will return to the court to open a three-game home stand when it hosts conference foes Arkansas tech and Harding on Dec. 6 and 8, respectively in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
Thursday's matchup with Arkansas Tech is set for 5:30 p.m., while Saturday's meeting with Harding is slated for a 2 p.m. tip.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend in need of a win to snap a three-game losing skid and put get into the win column in Great American Conference play.
 
Bailey Welch has paced the team's offense in the early going this season, averaging 15.0 ppg that includes a pair of 20-point outings in her last two contests.
 
She is joined in double figures by Ronay English who is averaging 10.5 ppg on the year.
 
Haley Schaefer, Taylor Richards and Emily Williams are each averaging over five rebounds per contest to pace the Storm on the glass.
 
Richards also leads the team in assists with four assists per game, while English is averaging 2.3 steals per outing.
 
The Golden Suns come into Thursday's game at 2-2 on the season that includes an 81-61 win over Southern Nazarene last game out.
 
Jessica Weatherford guides the ATU offense to the tune of 19.3 ppg, while Roselis Silva is next in line at 9.5 ppg.
 
Weatherford also leads the way on the glass with 9.0 rpg, while Silva is dishing out n5.5 assists per contest.
 
The Bisons come to Durant with a 3-2 record overall and a 1-0 mark in league play after a 78-64 win over SNU.
 
HU has a trio of double-digit scorers led by Shana Holmes who is scoring 14.4 ppg, while Arielle Saunders and Kristin Celsor are each averaging 13 ppg or more.
 
Saunders does most of the heavy lifting on the boards for the Bisons at 7.2 rpg, while three players are dishing out more than two assists per game.
