DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will return to the court for the first time since Dec. 8 and will be looking to extend its three-game winning streak when it welcomes Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello to Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
The Savage Storm opens 2013 with a 7:30 p.m. Jan. 3 meeting with SAU, followed by a Jan. 5 meeting against UAM at 4 p.m.
Chris Roussell leads a trio of double-digit scorers with 15.7 ppg on the season, while
Steven Kohli is adding 12.3 ppg, while
Andris Misters is chipping in 10.1 ppg.
Roussell and Kohli lead the Storm on the glass, with Roussell pulling down 7.5 rpg and Kohli right behind at 7.3 apg.
Travis Timmons directs the offense to the tune of a conference-leading 7.1 assists per game which is good enough to be top-10 in the nation.
The Muleriders come to town with a 5-4 record on the year and a 2-2 mark in league play, but are coming off a 96-88 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce on Dec. 19.
Nigel Jones paces a trio of double-digit scorers for SAU with 15.0 ppg and also leads the squad on the boards with 8.6 rebounds per game.
Chris Davis directs the offense with 4.6 assists per game.
The Boll Weevils come into the weekend with a 6-4 mark on the year and 1-3 record in league play on a two-game winning streak.
UAM is led by Kori Forge who is averaging 22.3 ppg on the year, while Michael Maya is adding 16.0 per outing.
A.J. Calhoun leads the team on the boards wirh 7.6 rebounds per outing, while Forge averages a team-high 3.7 assists per game.
