DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will set out to bounce back from its first loss and open the Great American Conference season on a winning note when it hosts Henderson State on Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Nov. 23 matchup with Ouachita Baptist at 2 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The Savage Storm return home with a 2-1 record after opening its weekend trip to Wichita Falls, Texas, with a 78-75 win over Texas-Permian Basin before falling on Saturday night 79-72 to Midwestern State.

SE opened the 2013-14 season on Nov. 12 with an 85-83 win over Texas A&M-Commerce.

The Storm offense has been clicking on all cylinders in the first three games as the team has had a different 20-point scorer in each contest.

Breana Small-Peppers turned in the season's high point total in the loss to MSU, scoring 23 points on a perfect 9-of-9 shooting effort from the field. She is averaging 17.0 ppg on the season and 11.7 rebounds per outing, which was good to earn her GAC Player of the Week honors in the team's first week of action.

Emily Williams and
Cheree Kiser have each had a 20-point game, with Kiser scoring 20 points exactly in the opener against TAMUC, and Williams doing ther same in the game against UTPB.

Williams and Kiser are each averaging 11.3 ppg, while
Taylor Richards and
Haley Schaefer are just outside of double-figures at 9.7 ppg.

Small-Peppers is one of just two players in the league averaging a double-double, with her 11.7 rebounds per game leading the team, followed by 6.3 per contest by Williams and three others who are each averaging four or more.

Henderson State enters the weekend with a 2-1 record on the year, including a 61-55 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith in its last outing.

They are led by a trio of double-digit scorers, with Krystal Beachum's 14.0 ppg leading the way, followed by 13.3 ppg from Aungelique Sledge and 11.3 from Tiara Davis.

Dunlincia Keener leads the team in rebounds at 9.0 rpg, with Sledge right behind at 8.7 per game.

Ouachita Baptist enters the weekend at 0-2 after losses to Texas Woman's and Washburn to open the season, and will face East Central on Thursday before making the trip into Durant on Saturday.

The Tigers feature four players averaging in double-figures, led by Nashia James at 14.0 ppg and Breanna Harris at 13.0.

James also paces the club in rebounds with 7.0 rpg, while Elise Holman and Kaylen Taylor each average 2.0 assists per game.
