Storm Tripped Up by UCM

Box Score SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Southeastern put three players in double-figures, but was unable to hold onto a halftime lead in a 75-66 loss to Central Missouri on Saturday night in San Antonio, Texas.

The loss is the third-straight for the Savage Storm who slip to 4-3 on the season as they return to Great American Conference play next time out with a 7:30 p.m. matchup with Arkansas Tech on Dec. 5 in Russellville, Ark.

Urald King led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting with a 6-of-8 night at the free throw line.

Quinton Threadgill added 18 points on the strength of four threes, while Taylor Smaller chipped in 15 points with three long-range buckets.

However, SE got little help off the bench with just three points from non-starters as the trio of double-digit scorers combined for 53 of the team's 66 points.

King led all rebounders as well with seven boards, while Smaller added six and the Storm held a 29-to-26 edge on the boards as a team.

Smaller and Threadgill each dished out a team-best five assists.

Southeastern shot 47.9 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from behind the arc for the game.

The Storm jumped out to a 31-27 lead at the break, but UCM outshot SE 55.2 percent-to-50 percent in the second half to pull ahead and hand Southeastern the 75-66 loss.
