Women's Hoops Set for NWOSU, SWOSU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will put its three-game winning streak on the line when it hosts Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southwestern Oklahoma State on Feb. 14 and 16 in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm will welcome NWOSU to town on Valentine's Day for a 5:3o p.m. matchup, followed by a 5:30 p.m. meeting on Saturday with SWOSU.
 
SE enters the weekend on a three-game winning streak that has lifted their overall record to 9-12 and their Great American Conference record to 7-8.
 
The Storm will be looking for a bit of revenge against both schools after suffering a 68-46 loss to the Rangers and a 96-74 loss to the Bulldogs on the road in early January.
 
Southeastern is led by a trio of double-digit averages, with Bailey Welch posting 12.4 ppg, while Haley Schaefer is pitching in 10.9 and Ronay English is adding 10.1.
 
Schaefer leads the Storm on the boards with 6.1 rebounds per outing.
 
Welch is guiding the offense with 4.2 assists per game, while Taylor Richards is dishing out 3.0 per contest.
 
NWOSU comes to town off back-to-back losses and have one just one of its last seven contests.  They enter the weekend with a 5-15 record overall and a 4-10 mark in league play.
 
The Rangers are led by the trio of Renee Golliday, Dierra Gilmore and Titania Newsome who each average just over eight points per outing.
 
Golliday is pulling down a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game, while LaParis Newsom is dishing out 2.9 apg to lead the team.
 
The Bulldogs come into the weekend action with a 16-5 record and an 11-4 league record.
 
SWOSU has won seven of its last eight outings.
 
Michelle Fisher leads the way with 17.4 ppg, while SaRaya Oyler and Kimmi Sawatzky are each averaging in double-figures.
 
TaNita Dewberry and Natalia Gibson are each pulling down just over five rebounds per game to lead the way on the glass, while Sarah Mendoza is averaging 2.8 assists per contest.
