SE Set to Host Golden Suns

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be aiming for back-to-back home wins when it hosts Arkansas Tech on Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm enter the rare Sunday contest with a 9-6 record overall and a 6-3 mark in Great American Conference play.
 
SE is comes into the contest after a 78-68 victory over rival East Central that put the Storm back in the win column as well as stationed in a tie for second in the GAC standings.
 
Against the Tigers it was Kaylie Baxter who led the way in scoring and rebounding with her first double-double of the year at 16 points and 11 rebounds.
 
For the season Emily Williams leads the club in scoring at 12.0 ppg, while Breana Small-Peppers is at 11.7 and Haley Schaefer is at 11.2.
 
Small-Peppers holds the rebounding lead at 7.8 per game, while Williams is at 7.3 and Schafer is pulling down 6.8 per contest.
 
Taylor Richards is dishing out a team-best 3.1 assists per game.
 
Arkansas Tech enters the weekend with an 8-7 record overall and a 4-5 mark in conference play.
 
The Golden Suns are 2-6 in their last eight games, including an 87-52 loss at home to Harding in their last game out.
 
Anissa Pounds paces the offense with 13.5 ppg, while Cara Neighbors is right behind at 13.1 and Jacinda Myers-Sanders adds 12.1 per contest.
 
Caroline Eubanks leads the team with 7.9 rebounds per outing, while also dishing out a team-best 3.4 assists per game.
