SE Heads North for Thanksgiving Classic

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern sets out on its longest road trip of the season when it travels to Rapid City, S.D. to take part in the South Dakota School of Mines Thanksgiving Classic, taking on the host at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, followed by a Nov. 28 matchup with Hillsdale Freewill Baptist at 2:30 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm enter the event with a 1-4 record and looking to break a two-game losing skid.
 
SE features a foursome of double-digit scorers led by Danny Powell who is averaging 16.0 ppg on the year.
 
He is followed by Sami Bzai at 15.0 ppg, Taylor Smaller at 12.4 and Darius Harris at 10.4
 
Harris is also averaging a double-double with a team-high 10.2 rebounds per game.
 
SE is averaging 73.2 ppg and shooting 43.4 percent from the field, while holding opponents to 40.4 percent.
 
The Storm also owns a 40.2-to-39.0 edge on the glass.
 
The Hardrockers head into Wednesday's matchup with an 0-5 record on the season, and returning home after a three-game road trip.
 
SDSOM is led offensively by Konor Kulas who is averaging 12.8 ppg, while also pulling down a team-best 5.8 rebounds per outing.
 
The Hardrockers are averaging 62.0 ppg as a team, but allowing opponents to score at a 76.8 ppg clip, thanks to being outshot 43.6 percent-to-54.4 percent.
 
The Saints come into the contest at 2-3 on the season, but are 2-1 in their last three outings.
