DURANT, Okla. – Despite a game-high 34 point outing by
Emily Williams, Southeastern saw Cameron score the final six points of the contest to rally and hand the Savage Storm a hard-to-swallow 82-81 loss on Monday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The loss drops SE to 9-2 on the year heading into the fall semester finale on Dec. 18 against Oklahoma Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The score stayed within two possessions for much of the second half until a three by
Kaylie Baxter and a jumper by Williams opened up a 69-60 advantage with 190:13 to play.

SE would get its lead to nine points again with 7:00 to go on another Williams' jumper, and one last time with 3:22 to play on an
Olivia Potter three.

However, the Aggies would close the game on a 12-2 run over the final three minutes, with Jade Herl hitting a three after an SE turnover with 12 seconds to play that proved to be the game-winner.

Williams paced all players with her 34 point effort, her second game with more than 30 points on the season.

She shot 13-of-22 from the floor and added a three and a 7-of-10 mark at the free throw line.

Shelby Hill joined her in double-figures with 11 thanks to three three-point buckets, while Baxter added 10.

Baxter rounded out a double-double with 10 rebounds as well.

Williams paced the team in assists with six as the Storm tallied 26 assists on 30 made buckets.

Hill and
Rachel Wallace each dished out four assists, while five others had at least two each.

Southeastern shot 51.7 percent for the game from the floor, but had drastically different outings from the first to the second half.

SE was 18-of-28 in the first half, hitting 64.3 percent from the floor, while the second half saw that output dip to 12-of-30 for a 40.0 percent clip.

The Storm shot 47.4 percent from long range, hitting 9-of-19, including the highlight of the second half box score going 5-of-8 from three. Â

In the first half, Williams dropped 18 and went 8-of-11 from the field as the Storm traded the lead early, but used a 7-0 run capped by a Wallace layup at the 12:53 mark to open up a 21-14 lead.

That lead would grow to as many as 12 in the first half before an Aggie rally would close the score to 41-39 before SE settled on a 44-41 lead at the break.
