DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will close out the fall semester on Dec. 18 when it hosts Oklahoma Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
The Savage Storm head into the non-conference matchup off a stinging 82-81 loss to Cameron and now sit at 9-2 on the season.
Despite the loss,
Emily Williams turned in a 34 point effort to lead all scorers and has lifted her scoring average to 18.4 ppg which is fourth in the Great American Conference.
Olivia Potter is next in line scoring for SE with 10.3 ppg thanks to her 50.7 percent effort from behind the arc and GAC leading 3.1 three point makes per game.
Williams is also eighth in the league in rebounding at 7.0 rpg, while
Kaylie Baxter is right behind at 6.8 which is good for 10
th.
Taylor Richards is seventh in the conference in assists with 3.1 per outing.
SE is third in scoring offense at 74.0 ppg and leads the conference in scoring defense by allowing just 58.9 ppg.
The Storm is hitting 40.2 percent from three as a team which is second in the conference and fourth in rebounding at 40.7 per game.
Southeastern is just behind Harding in team assists with 17.0 assists per contest, and is third in assists/turnover margin at 1.0.
Oklahoma Wesleyan enters Thursday's matchup at 9-2 on the season and are currently ranked No. 20 in the NAIA Division II poll.
OKWU is paced by Nichole Tate who is averaging 15.8 ppg on the season, while the Eagles are scoring 75.4 ppg as a team.
Tate also leads the team in rebounds at 6.5 rpg and assists with 4.5 per outing.
