DURANT, Okla. – It was a tale of two halves as Southeastern saw a four point halftime lead evaporate in the second half as Missouri S&T pulled ahead to hand the Savage Storm an 80-68 loss on Wednesday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The loss moves SE to 3-6 on the year heading back into Great American Conference play on Dec. 6 with an 8 p.m. matchup against Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla.

The Storm clawed out a 36-32 lead at the half after shooting 38.7 percent while holding the Miners to a 34.4 percent mark, bolstered by a 5-of-10 mark from long range for SE.

The second half saw that flip as MST hit 51.4 percent from the floor and Southeastern saw its percentage slip to 33.3 from the field which included an 0-for-8 mark from three.

The Miners outscored SE 48-32 in the second half as a result.

The Storm had the game's high-scorer in
Danny Powell who turned in 21 points and rounded out the double-double with 12 rebounds. He shot 6-of-7 from the field an 9-of-11 from the free throw line.

He was joined in double-figures by
Sami Bzai and
Anton Cook who each finished with 11.

The teams finished even in rebounds with 42 each, with Powell's 12 leading all rebounders, while
Darius Harris added eight and
Antonio Worthy chipped in seven.

Powell also led the team with three assists and the Storm dished out 10 as a team, but was stung by 19 turnovers which MST turned into 25 points.
