Box Score WEATHERFORD, Okla. – A cold shooting second half spelled trouble for Southeastern as the Savage Storm came out on the wrong end of a 99-71 loss at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon in Weatherford, Okla.

The loss drops SE to 13-9 on the year and 10-6 in Great American Conference play.

After opening the contest by shooting 50.0 percent from the field the teams went to the half tied at 44-41.

The second half was a totally different story however as SE shot 21.4 percent from the field and, including a 1-for-14 mark from three-point range, while SWOSU hit 41.0 percent and 10 threes to pull away for the 99-71 final score.

Emily Williams turned in a team-high 18 points to lead the way for the Storm, while
Shelby Hill added 13 points on the strength of three threes, and
Haley Schaefer finished with 10.

Kaylie Baxter paced the club on the glass with nine rebounds, while Williams and
Ronay English each added seven.

Taylor Richards turned in five of the team's eight assists.

The biggest difference in the contest came from long range where the Bulldogs hit 21 threes, led by nine from Sarina Sayama.

The Storm posted a 30-14 edge in the paint, but SWOSU countered with a 21-5 advantage in second chance points and a slight 10-7 edge in points off turnovers.

The Bulldogs jumped ahead early, eventually pushing out to a double-digit lead by the 13 minute mark, which would grow to as many as 15.

Southeastern, however, finished the half on a 24-6 run to close the halftime gap to 44-41.

SWOSU edged away early in the second half before pulling away and outscoring the Sotrm 55-30 in the second half to set the final of 99-71.
