Storm Ready for Rivalry Road Trip

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern aims to get back in the win column and back to .500 when it wraps up the current three-game road trip with a 7:30 p.m. contest against rival East Central in Ada, Okla.
 
The Savage Storm come into the matchup with an 8-9 record overall and a 4-5 mark in Great American Conference play which puts them in a four-way tie for fifth place.
 
The Storm are led offensively by the trio of Danny Powell, Taylor Smaller and Sami Bzai.
 
Powell leads the group with 16.1 ppg, while Smaller is turning in 14.4 and Bzai adding 10.9 per outing.
 
Smaller leads the team in assists with 3.5 per game, while two others are averaging more than two per contest.
 
SE is averaging 72.8 ppg on the year while shooting 46.1 percent from the field as a team.
 
Darius Harris leads the way on the glass with 8.7 rpg, while Powell is chipping in 7.3 per game to help the Storm hold a 37.4-to-36.4 edge on the glass.
 
ECU enters the game at 12-5 overall and 6-3 in GAC play, holding onto third place in the league standings.
 
The Tigers also have a trio leading the offense, paced by the 19.2 ppg of Stirling Thomas, while Henry Pwono and Braxton Reeves are each averaging more than 12 ppg.
 
Pwono paces the team on the boards with 8.2 rpg, while Marquis Walters is dishing out a team-best 2.8 assists per game.
