DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern snapped its four-game losing streak in a big way and saw
Emily Williams write her name in the record books in the process as the Savage Storm topped Southern Nazarene 83-59 on Monday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win moved SE to 13-6 overall on the season and 6-5 in Great American Conference play heading into a Jan. 29 road trip to Northwestern Oklahoma State.

Williams came into Monday's game needing just five points to become the 11
th player in program history to surpass the 1,000-point plateau and with a three just under six minutes into the game she crossed the mark.

She would finish with 23 points on the night and climbed to ninth on the Storm all-time scoring list, passing DD Collier who was previously in ninth with 1,012 points.

Williams turned in her second-straight 20-point outing and her sixth overall on the season.

She led a foursome of double-digit scorers, with
Rachel Wallace next in line with a career-high 167 points thanks to a 4-for-8 effort from three point range.

Cheree Kiser came off the bench to add 12 points, while
Kaylie Baxter added a pair of threes en route to her 10 points.

Shelby Hill was uncharacteristically held scoreless, but in the absence of points she dished out a season-best 10 assists, turning in the first double-digit assist tally in the GAC this season.

Baxter also hauled in a team-high eight rebounds, while Williams added six and Wallace five.

Southeastern's bench made a big difference in the game, scoring 24 points while SNU's bench mustered just 13.

The Storm also took advantage of 22 turnovers, converting them into 29 points, while only turning the ball over 11 times on the offensive end.

The teams traded the lead back and forth early until SE put together a 7-0 run to open up a two possession advantage at 16-10.

The Crimson Storm would close the gap to three points with 8:31 to play, but an 18-2 run would stretch the home team's advantage to 39-20 with 2:20 to play in the half.

The Storm would take a 41-26 lead into the locker room at halftime.

SE would not let off the gas in the second half, stretching its lead to 20 points on a pair of
Taylor Richards free throws just under five minutes into the half.

SNU would get no closer than 13 points into the second half, with the Storm pushing its lead out as far as 25 points before finishing up the 83-59 victory.
