Olivia Potter drained a three with 31 seconds to go and
Rachel Wallace hit a pair of free throws with eight tick left to help Southeastern rally and hold on for a 61-58 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 12-2 overall on the year and 5-1 in Great American Conference play heading into a Jan. 10 matchup against Harding at 1 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

SE found itself down by seven points with 2:14 to play, but a
Kaylie Baxter layup would kick off a 10-0 run to finish the game.

It was followed by a
Shelby Hill three with 1:28 remaining and then on SE's next possession Potter's long-distance three would put SE up 59-58 with 31 seconds to go.

The Cotton Blossoms would miss a three on their next trip down and SE would get the rebound with Wallace drawing a foul and heading to the line where she hit both ends of the one-and-one to make the lead 61-58 which would hold to be the final score.

Potter paced Southeastern on offense with 15 points, all coming from behind the arc as she hit five threes for the sixth time on the season.

Baxter finished with 11 which included three three-point buckets of her own.

Emily Williams and Hill each added nine.

Southeastern overcame a 37.0 percent shooting night by hitting 12 threes as a team and holding a 38-to-34 edge on the glass.

Williams dished out a team0high six assists as the Storm finished with 18 as a team.

Baxter's seven rebounds led the team on the boards as Hill added six and the trio of Williams, Wallace and
Taylor Richards each added five.

Potter, Baxter and Hill each hit a pair of threes and each had six points in the first half as neither team led by more than two possessions, with the half ending in a 34-34 tie thanks to a Potter three with 33 seconds left.

SE took its biggest lead of eight points with 14:32 to play in the half, with UAM using a 6-0 run late int eh game to open up its largest lead of seven points with 2:14 to play.
