DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern used a 50.0 percent shooting effort in the second half to pick up a 71-60 win over Ouachita Baptist on Thursday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lifted the Savage Storm to 17-8 overall and 10-7 in Great American Conference play, and coupled with a loss by Arkansas-Monticello the team moved into a tie for fourth in the standings with three games to play beginning with a 1 p.m. home matchup against Arkansas Tech on Feb. 21.

Emily Williams turned in her ninth 20-point game of the season, finishing with 23 on the night, while also turning in a game-high 13 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the year.

Taylor Richards also added 14 points, while
Olivia Potter hit three three-point buckets and finished with 11 points.

Williams and Richards each dished out four assists, while Williams added a pair of blocks.

Kaylie Baxter added eight rebounds, while Richards and
Rachel Wallace each hauled in six boards.

SE never trailed in the contest, with the Tigers tying the game twice early in the low-scoring first half before using a 7-0 run to take a 14-7 lead with 7:44 to go in the half.

The Storm would go on to stretch its lead to 32-22 at halftime.

OBU would cut the edge to just two points by the 13:36 mark, but a pair of Richards free throws keyed a 10-0 run capped by an
Emem David layup to take a 47-35 lead.

The lead would grow as large as 17 points before the Storm finally settled on a 71-60 win.
