DURANT, Okla.  – Southeastern bounced back from a 3-2 loss in game one on Saturday to pick up a 5-2 win in the series finale and win the series over Northwestern Oklahoma State, taking three-out-of-four games.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 23-18 overall on the season and 19-7 in Great American Conference play and also marked senior day for four SE seniors who played in their last home game.

Those seniors were
Darrian Williams,
Jacee Bennett,
Arianna Jones and
Haley Strawn.
Â
In the finale,
Jessica Simmons,
Courtney Riddle,
Laramie Beal and Strawn each had a pair of hits, while Riddle drove in three and Beal and Jones added one each.

Jessica Seay moved to 11-6 on the year with the win after tossing a complete game and allowing two runs on 11 hits with seven strikeouts.

Jones doubled in the second to open the scoring by driving in Beal, with Riddle adding an RBI single in the third to make it 2-0.

Riddle followed up in the fifth with a two-run homer and Beal made it the back-to-back variety with a solo shot of her own to open up a 5-0 lead.

NWOSU would chip away with a pair in the sixth, but the Storm would hold on for the 5-2 win.

In the opener SE opened up with a 1-0 lead after a Jones RBI groundout plated Beal in the second.

The Rangers would answer with a three-run homer in the fourth, and the Storm would only get one more run back with an
Ashley Moore RBI groundout that scored Strawn to make the score 3-2.

Sydney Kramer, Beal and Strawn collected the team's three hits, with Jones and Moore adding an RBI each.

Bennett took the loss after allowing three runs on seven hits in a complete game performance, striking out six.
