Storm Set for OBU, NWOSU Weekend

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be aiming to end its losing streak when it heads into a weekend which begins with a 7:30 p.m. contest with Oklahoma Baptist on Jan. 14 in Bloomer Sullivan Arena before heading to Alva, Okla., for a Jan. 16 contest at Northwestern Oklahoma State at 3 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend in a four-way tie for eighth in the league standings with a 2-4 conference mark and a 4-8 record overall, but have dropped seven in-a-row.
 
SE is scoring 74.5 ppg on the year, but allowing 82.5 per outing, with the duo of Anton Cook and Sami Bzai pacing the offense.
 
Cook is averaging 16.5 ppg while Bzai is adding 15.1 per contest, with Nathan Jackson adding 9.5 ppg.
 
Bzai is dishing out 3.0 assists per game, while Cook is right behind at 2.9 per contest as the team is handing out 13.5 per contest combined.
 
Jackson leads the way on the glass with 6.8 rpg, while SE is picking up 37.8 rebounds per game as a team.
 
Oklahoma Baptist comes to town at 5-5 on the year and 1-5 in GAC play, but have dropped two-straight, both in conference.
 
They feature a trio of double-digit scorers, led by Steven Green who is putting up 16.8 ppg, while defensively Chandler Rickey is pulling down a team-high 8.8 rebounds per contest.
 
NWOSU enters the weekend with a 2-8 mark overall on the year, but is part of the four-way tie for eighth with a 2-4 record in league play, including a win over Henderson State in their last game out.
 
The Rangers are led by Adrian Motley who is averaging 17.4 ppg to lead a trio of double-digit averages, while also pacing the team on the glass with 6.7 rpg.
