DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be well rested when it jumps back into Great American Conference play this weekend as it hosts Arkansas Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 followed by a 1 p.m. matchup with Harding on Jan. 9, both in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The Savage Storm come into the weekend at 3-7 overall and 1-3 in league play, embroiling them in a six-way tie for sixth place.

ATU and HU come into the weekend with identical records at 6-2 overall on the year and a 4-0 conference mark which leaves them two-third of a three-way tie for the GAC lead.

Southeastern has been in an alternating win-loss pattern since picking up its first win and will be due for a victory in its nest outing after finishing the 2015 calendar year on Dec. 16 with an 80-77 loss at Cameron.

Olivia Potter continues to pace the team in scoring at 14.3 ppg which is good for 10
th in the league. She maintains that mark by being the league's most prolific three point shooter, making 3.6 per game, more than half a make per game higher than second place, while shooting 42.4 percent from behind the arc which ranks sixth, but is the best mark by any player who has taken 50-or-more threes.

She is joined in double figures by
Kaylie Baxter who is averaging 11.0 ppg while
Rachel Wallace is at 9.5, with
Emem David at 7.7 and
Taylor Richards at 7.3.

SE is averaging 69.5 ppg which is in still in the top half of the league, while holding its opponents to 66.8 ppg which is fifth best in the GAC.

Richards ranks 10
th in the conference in assists at 3.9 per contest, while SE is fifth as a team at 14.6 apg.

Katie Webb and
Rachel Wallace both rank in the GAC top- 20 in rebounding with 5.9 and 5.6 rpg, respectively, while the Storm holds a slight 36.8-to-36.4 edge on the glass.

The Golden Suns come into Thursday's matchup off a long rest as well with their last game being a 71-64 loss at Drury on Dec. 15.

They are paced offensively by Fatima Adams who is averaging 21.8 ppg, while Anissa Pounds and Calli White are both in double-figures.

Bre Brooks is dishing out a team-high 4.8 assists per game, while Adams leads the way in rebounds at 10.3 per outing.

The Bisons head into the weekend on a three-game winning streak which included a 63-55 win at Christian Brothers on Dec. 30 in its last outing.

Sydney Layrock leads a trio of double-digit averages at 16.6 ppg, while Lunden Williams is averaging 4.1 assists per contest.
