DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern had a rough night shooting as well as on the boards as Arkansas Tech pulled away with an 81-65 win on Thursday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win drops the Savage Storm to 4-7 on the year and 2-3 in Great American Conference play heading into a Jan. 9, 3 p.m. matchup with Harding who is coming off a 96-93 overtime win over East Central Thursday night.

The bright spot for SE on the night was
Anton Cook who poured in a game-high 25 points on 9-of-21 shooting with four threes.

Marti Fonolla was next in line at nine points, with
DJ Henderson adding eight and
Quinton Threadgill seven.

Threadgill dished out a team-best four assists, while Cook and
James Donelan each added two.

SE shot 31.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from long range, while ATU checked in at 48.4 percent overall and 37.0 from behind the arc.

Fonolla pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, however the Storm found itself on the short end of a 46-to-35 margin in rebounds.

The Wonder Boys ran out to a 14-3 lead by the 15:11 mark and led by 13 with 13:15 to go in the half, but the Storm slowly answered with an 8-0 run capped by a Cook layup in transition that closed the gap to 18-13.
