EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern dropped 14 threes but was unable to recover from a rough second quarter en route to a 91-73 loss to Central Oklahoma on Sunday evening at the GAC/MIAA Challenge in Edmond, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 1-1 on the season with the next action lasted for Nov. 17 as they enter Great American Conference play against Arkansas-Monticello at 5:30 p.m. in Monticello, Ark.

Olivia Potter led SE in scoring with 17 points on the strength of four threes, while Alix Robinson was right behind with 15 on a 5-of-9 effort from behind the arc.

Rachel Wallace and Courtney Brady each added eight, with Katie Webb chipping in six.

Sa'Liesha Hunter and Brady each dished out four assists with Webb adding three.

On the board Ariannah Kemp hauled in a team-high six rebounds, with Wallace and Webb turning in four each.

A Wallace three opened the game and after trading the lead back-and-forth for most of the first quarter, before regaining the lead at the 3:33 mark on a Robinson three and stretching the advantage to 23-16 on a Potter three to end the first quarter.

The lead would get to eight early in the second quarter, but a 15-2 run to end the half would leave the Storm in a 41-32 hole at the break.

SE would get as close as eight points in the third quarter before UCO would pull away for the 91-73 win.
