Storm Open Home GAC With OBU, HSU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will open the home portion of its Great American Conference schedule when it hosts Ouachita Baptist on Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Dec. 3 matchup with Henderson State at 1 p.m., with both contests played in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 3-2 record following a narrow overtime loss to Texas A&M-Commerce, but still boasts a 2-0 GAC record after logging road wins over Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas to open the conference slate.
 
Through the first five games of the season the offense has flourished on the production from Olivia Potter who is second in the conference at 16.4 ppg while averaging more than four three pointers made per game and shooting 44.7 percent from long range.
 
Rachel Wallace is adding 10.8 ppg and shooting 47.4 percent form beyond the arc.
 
Sa'Liesha Hunter is fourth in the GAC in assists with 4.8 per contest and third in assists turnover at 3.0, while also adding 6.6 ppg and 4.8 rpg.
 
Katie Webb leads the way on the glass with 6.4 rebounds per game and has also blocked a team-high five shots.
 
The Storm is averaging 73.0 ppg as a team while opponents are at 71.8.
 
OBU comes to Durant with a 3-2 mark on the year and a 2-0 record in league play and winners of three-straight after opening the year with back-to-back losses.
 
Madison Brittain leads a trio of double-digit scorers with 12.0 ppg while the Tigers are outscoring opponents 68.6-to-66.8 per game.
 
Katie Kapler is hauling in a team-best 6.2 rebounds per game, while Alivia Huell has snagged 13 steals over five games.
 
The Reddies enter the weekend with a 2-4 overall mark after dropping two-straight, but are 2-0 in GAC play.
 
Pink Jones leads a foursome of double-figure scorers at 14.7 ppg, while HSU holds a 79.5-to-79.0 edge in team scoring per outing.
 
Lexis Weber leads the team with 8.0 rpg.
