SE Returns Home for Key Matchups

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will set out to pick up ground in the Great American Conference standings when it starts a two-game weekend home stand beginning with Ouachita Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, followed by a Feb. 6 contest against Henderson State at 3 p.m. Both contests will be in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 7-12 record overall and a 5-8 mark in Great American Conference play, but the team is coming off a 71-66 road win over Southern Arkansas and has taken two of its last three overall.
 
Anton Cook leads the scoring at 16.5 ppg while shooting 43.7 percent from the floor and 38.6 percent form long range.
 
Sami Bzai is on his heels at 14.9 ppg and is one of the league's better sharpshooters with 2.7 threes made per game while shooting 42.5 percent from behind the arc.
 
Nathan Jackson joins the duo in double-figures and is averaging 10.2 ppg while shooting 55.8 percent from the floor.
 
Jackson is versatile as he also leads the team in rebounding with 6.0 rpg, while Tyler Lonzie is right behind at 5.5 per outing.
 
Bzai is dishing out a team-best 3.2 assists per game, with Cook adding 2.7 per contest.
 
OBU enters Thursday with an 11-8 overall mark, but an 11-2 record in AGC play while rising a nine-game winning streak.
 
Lakee Westbrook and Tirrell Brown lead the offense with 15.8 ppg each, while the Tigers are averaging 77.6 ppg as a team.
 
Brown leads the team on the boards at 6.7 per game, while Jordan Corbitt is dishing out 2.6 assists per contest.
 
HSU comes into the weekend with a 5-13 record overall and a 4-9 mark in league play, but is coming off a 72-59 win over Oklahoma Baptist last game out.
 
The Reddies are led by Kaylon Tappin on offense at 14.2 ppg, while Zydrunas Jurgutis is dishing out a team-high 2.8 assists.
 
Alioune Mboup leads the team on the boards with 5.4 rpg.
