BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Southeastern saw its 2015-16 season come to an end in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Great American Conference Tournament with a 90-78 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Friday afternoon in Bartlesville, Okla.

The Savage Storm finish the year with a 13-16 record after making their 10th-straight conference tournament appearance, including all five GAC tournaments.

SE put four players in double-figures, led by
Olivia Potter who turned in 20 points on the afternoon, hitting four threes and shooting 40 percent overall from the field.

Kaylie Baxter and
Rachel Wallace turned in 12 points each, with Baxter hitting 3-of-6 from long range and Wallace adding a 2-for-3 effort form behind the arc.

Taylor Richards finished the contest with 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting.

The Storm shot 40.3 percent as a team, but were most efficient in the first half where they hit 47.1 percent of their shots and 46.2 percent from three.

Richards finished the day with six assists and will finish her career in fourth-place on the all-time assists list with 366 career assists.

Wallace led the way on the glass for the Storm with nine rebounds, while Richards hauled in eight.

SWOSU jumped ahead early, but SE bounced back and took its first lead at 12-10 on Potter's third three of the game just 3:34 into the contest.

The teams would trade ties and the Bulldogs would take the lead late until another Potter three was followed up a possession later by a Baxter free throw with one second to go in the quarter to put the Storm up 23-22.

SWOSU would regain the lead early in the second quarter and push its lead out to as many as 10 points before a Richards jumper would get SE moving, eventually cutting the halftime deficit to 43-40.

The Bulldogs maintained their lead through most of the third quarter, with SE closing the gap late with
Sa'Liesha Hunter scoring the final five points of the quarter to give the storm a 62-61 lead.

Southeastern would maintain a one possession lead over SWOSU throughout the early portion of the fourth quarter, holding a 73-70 edge with 6:18 to play.

SWOSU would find its offense at that point and finish out the game on a 17-5 run to hand the Storm the 90-78 exit.
