BETHANY, Okla. – Southeastern scored 10-straight runs between the third and eighth innings and opened its series at Southern Nazarene with a 10-4 win on Friday afternoon in Bethany, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 17-17 on the season and 12-7 in Great American Conference Play heading into Saturday's double-header with SNU which begins at noon.

Kaleb Thomas came through with three of the team's 12 hits, finishing 3-for-5 on the day, while
Brandon Grimsley and
Corban Taylor added a pair of hits each.

Tim Hunter drove in two runs, while
Dylan Helms,
Logan Terwilliger, Taylor, and
Nolan Fanning each had one RBI.

Dylan Linke got the start and lasted 7.0 innings while allowing three runs on nine hits with six strikeouts to pick up his fifth win of the year.

Bryce Clemons tossed an inning in relief and allowed one hit, while
Scott Brinkley finished the game by allowing a run on two hits on an inning of work with one K.

The Crimson Storm jumped to a 3-0 lead with a pair of runs in the first and another in the second.

SE responded with
Bryson Allen scoring on a throwing error in the third and picking up another run in the fourth when
Greg Husnander scored on a Hunter RBI single.

The Storm tied the game in the fifth on a Terwilliger RBI groundout.

Southeastern gained the lead on a Hunter RBI sac bunt in the sixth which was followed by a Helms RBI groundout to open up a 5-3 lead.

The Storm exploded in the seventh for four runs thanks to an error and REBI from Taylor and Hunter before mounting a 9-3 lead when Taylor scored on a wild pitch.

A Fanning RBI single in the eighth would make the lead 10-3, but SNU would get one back in the bottom of the ninth to make the final 10-4.
