DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern suffered its first back-to-back shutouts in nearly two seasons as it fell to Southern Arkansas by scores of 6-0 and 8-0 on Friday afternoon at the Southeastern Softball Field.
 
The losses drop the Savage Storm to 26-18 overall on the season and 22-12 in Great American Conference play heading into the home finale on Saturday against the Muleriders at noon as the team will celebrate senior day.
 
In game one SE had a pair of runners thrown out at the plate and stranded three more in scoring position as five hitters combined on five hits, with 
Jessica Simmons, 
Destiny Riddle, 
Sydney Kramer and 
Courtney Riddle each hitting doubles.
 
Jessica Seay got the start and the loss after tossing 3.1 innings and allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts, while 
Emily Cudd and 
Hunter Offill combined on 1.1 innings and allowed a run each on two hits apiece. 
Destiny Riddle would throw the remaining 2.1 innings and allowed a pair of runs on four hits.
 
In the nightcap 
Destiny Riddle, Kramer, 
Courtney Riddle and 
Ashton Adkins each had a hit, with Adkins doubling, while Simmons added a stolen base after drawing a walk.
 
Emily Cudd got the start and the loss after tossing 3.0 innings and allowing three runs on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts, while the three remaining SE pitchers combined for the final 3.0 innings and allowed a total of five runs on six hits with a pair of K's.
