LAWTON, Okla. – Southeastern wrapped up its regular season road schedule and polished off an impressive road record with a 6-4 win over Cameron in Lawton, Okla., on Wednesday afternoon.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 25-21 overall and brings their season road-record to 16-8 which included five wins in three game series, three of which were sweeps.

Southeastern will be back on the field April 29-30 when it hosts East Central in the regular-season finale at The Ballpark in Durant.

SE racked up 11 hits on the day with
Dylan Helms,
Kaleb Thomas,
Logan Terwilliger,
Ty Hanson and
Jake Perez each logging a pair of hits, while
Mike Wade picked up the outstanding hit.

Terwilliger and Hanson each drove in a pair, with Hanson connecting on a solo homer for one of them, while
Corban Taylor and Perez each added an RBI.

Matt Benedict got the start and tossed 4.0 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with four strikeouts.

Bryce Clemons pitched a pair of innings in relief and scattered two hits while striking out one.
Â
Cody Luman would come on for an dinning and allowed a run on two hits with a strikeout, but also picked up the win to move to 1-1 on the year.

Michael Brinska finished off the contest with a pair of hitless innings with one strikeout to earn his first save.

The game looked like home runs derby early as the Storm took the lead in the second inning on a Hanson solo shot to left.

CU answered in the third inning with a leadoff solo homer to right and after getting an out, posted back-to-back homers to open up a 3-1 lead.

Perez doubled home Wade in the top of the fifth to close the gap to 3-2, but the Aggies got a run back on an RBI single in the seventh for a 4-2 lead.

The Storm found its answer in the top of the eighth as Perez drew a leadoff walk followed by back-to-back singles by Helms and Thomas to load the bases.

A Terwilliger single would drive in Perez and Helms and knot the game at 4-4.

After a
Brandon Grimsley sac bunt, Taylor would drive in the go ahead run on a sac fly to left which scored Thomas, while Hanson pushed the lead to 6-4 with an RBI single scoring Terwilliger.

After allowing a pair of runners in the eighth, Brinska would coax a groundout back to himself and follow by retiring the side in order in the ninth to preserve the win.
