MONTICELLO, Ark. – Adam Dworsky dropped 18 points and Southeastern hit nine threes en route to a 68-62 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday night in Monticello, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in Great American Conference play heading into a 3 p.m. matchup with Southern Arkansas on Saturday afternoon in Magnolia, Ark.

Dworsky posted a game-high 18 points, hitting 6-of-8 from the floor with a pair of threes, while Jett Jobe reached double-digits as well with 12 points. Markell Henderson just missed double-figures with nine points, while Kevin Buckingham and DJ Henderson each finished with eight.

SE shot 47.1 percent from the floor overall and hit 45.0 percent from behind the arc, finishing 9-of-20 from three-point range.

Buckingham led the way on the boards with 10.

UAM scored first but the Storm responded with five-straight to take the lead on a Dworsky three and would never trail in the contest.

The Boll Weevils would tie the game three times in the first half of the first half until SE put together an 11-4 run capped by a Jobe three to go up 27-27 with 8:03 to go in the half.

UAM would rally to tie the game late in the half, but a Myles Nesbitt three with 54 seconds to play would give the Storm a 34-31 halftime advantage.

A 10-3 run capped by a Markell Henderson layup would push the Southeastern lead out to double-digits at 44-34 with 17:16 to play.

The lead would grow as large as 12 points on a DJ Henderson three, but UAM would rally to within five points in the final two minutes, but a Dworsky free throw with 57 second to play would stop any rallies and fashion the final score of 68-62.
