STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Southeastern was plagued by turnovers in its first action in three weeks as it fell on the road to Tarleton State, 60-49 on Saturday afternoon in Stephenville, Texas.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 6-4 on the year as they head back into Great American Conference play on Jan 4 against Ouachita Baptist at 5:30 p.m.

SE allowed 26 points off turnovers while recovering just 14 of those on TSU miscues, despite holding a better shooting percentage by a 32.1-to-28.8 percent margin.

Emem David led the way in scoring with 12 points while shooting 4-of-7 from the floor, while Ariannah Kemp and Katie Branam each added 10 points.

David completed a double-double with a game-high 14 rebounds, with the Storm outrebounding the TexAnns 47-to-38.

SE played catchup for the entire contest after falling behind 19-8 after one quarter and after playing nearly even in the second trailed 31-19 at halftime.

The Storm shaved five points off the deficit in the third quarter and trailed 41-34 heading to the fourth but were outscored 19-15 in the final frame.
