DURANT, Okla. –
Anton Cook and
Jett Jobe each reached the 20-point mark as Southeastern closed out the 2016-17 season with an 89-81 Senior Day victory over Arkansas Tech on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win is the third-straight to end the season and lifts the Savage Storm to 12-16 overall and 8-14 in Great American Conference play.

It was the final game in the careers of seniors
Anton Cook,
Tyler Lonzie and
Nathan Jackson as well.

For the 11
th time this season Cook passed the 20-point barrier, this time leading all scorers with 29 points with a 7-of-15 effort from the floor while hitting four threes and going 11-of-14 at the free throw line.

Jobe went 5-of-9 from the floor and hit four threes as well while going 6-for-6 at the charity stripe to finish with 20 points while handing out a game-high seven assists.

Lonzie reached double-figures in his final game as well and for the seventh time this season he registered a double-double by hauling in a game-high 14 rebounds.

Bobby Johnson came off the bench and turned in 14 points with a pair of threes.

The Storm shot 42.4 percent from the floor and hit 13 threes in the game, while holding the Wonder Boys to a 38.4 percent shooting night from the floor.

ATU jumped out to a 9-2 lead early, but an 8-0 run capped by a
Kyle Roberts three would put SE up 11-10 at the 14:34 mark.

The Storm would edge ahead and eventually use another 8-0 run capped by a Jose Libanio layup to push that lead out to 28-17.

ATU would rally and go up 34-30 before the Storm offense would again answer, this time a pair of Dino Mumenovic threes would put SE back in front and they would take a 40-36 lead to the locker room at halftime.

The Wonder Boys would stay close and take a lead at the 14:43 mark, setting up the teams trading one possession leads until the 10:43 mark when ATU jumped out to a 61-57 lead.

Tech would hold a lead as late as the 2:11 mark at 77-75, but Cook would hit a three at the 2:01 point and draw a foul, converting the four-point play and regaining the lead for good.

Cook and Jobe would each add a pair of free throws and the lead would extend to 83-77 with 44 seconds to play.

Cook and Jobe would combine to go 6-of-6 after that at the line to preserve an 89-81 victory.
