SEARCY, Ark. – Despite outhitting sixth-ranked Harding in the opener and stretching the game to 12 innings, Southeastern was unable to pull off the upset in a 4-3 loss in game one before suffering an 8-0 defeat in the series finale on Saturday afternoon in Searcy, Ark.
 
The loss drops the Savage Storm to 14-18 overall on the year and 8-14 in Great American Conference play.
 
In the opener, 
Symphoni Shomo finished the contest going 5-of-6 at the plate with a pair of runs scored, with 
Destiny Riddle adding a three-hit effort and 
Keeshia Thompson turning in a pair of hits.
 
Riddle, Thompson and Brittany Chetallier each drove in a run.
 
Emily Cudd got the start and tossed 11.1 innings, allowing four runs on 12 hits with one strikeout, while Riddle faced one batter and recorded an out.
 
The Bisons scored first to go up 1-0 in the fifth, but a Riddle single in the top of the sixth would score Shomo and knot the game at 1-1 where it would stay until the 11
th inning.
 
Chetallier would groundout to second in the top of the 11
th but bring home 
Conner Harmon on the play to go up 2-1.
 
However, HU would tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom half of the 11
th to keep the game going.
 
A Thompson double in the top of the 12
th would plate Shomo to once again put the Storm in front, but a pair of RBI singles in the bottom half would allow the Bisons to steal a 4-3 win.
 
In the finale Kennedy Salyer posted a pair of hits, while Shomo, Harmon and Cudd added one each.
 
Ashley Moore got the start and went the distance, tossing 5.1 innings and allowing eight runs, six of them earned, on six hits with two strikeouts and five walks.
 
The Storm was unable to carry any momentum over from the near upset in game one as HU  scored a run in the first but opened up a 5-0 lead in the fourth.
 
They would add a run it he fifth and two more in the bottom of the sixth to hand SE an 8-0 loss.
