Courtney Brady put up 23 points to lead Southeastern to an 83-76 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday night in Alva, Okla.

The win snaps a four-game losing skid and lifts the Savage Storm to 8-8 overall on the season and 6-5 in Great American Conference play.

Brady's 23 points is a season-high after draining three threes, hitting 7-of-12 from the floor and going 6-of-6 at the free throw line.

Sa'Liesha Hunter went 10-of-11 at the free throw line and finished with 18 points, while
Emem David added 13 and
Tracy Johnson finished with 12 on a 4-of-6 effort from behind the arc.

The Storm shot 48.0 percent from the floor for the game and 42.9 percent for long range and added a 23-for-27 performance at the free throw line.

Hunter and
Ariannah Kemp each dished out four assists as SE finished with 16 as a team.

David hauled in a team-high nine rebounds and Kemp chipped in seven boards and the Storm held a 34-to-32 edge on the glass.

The teams traded threes out of the gate, with NWOSU eventually taking a five point lead by the 3:24 mark before the Storm rallied and finished off the quarter with a pair of Johnson threes to lead 24-18 after 10 minutes.

The offense slowed in the second quarter as SE went 3-for-9 from the field, but two of them were threes and added a 4-for-4 effort at the free throw line, but were outscored 21-12 in the quarter and went to the half down 39-36.

Southeastern drained four threes in the third quarter, regaining the lead at 47-44 on a Hunter three and leading by as many as five points before taking a 53-50 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Storm exploded for 30 fourth-quarter points while shooting 54.5 percent from the field, tacking on three threes and going 15-of-17 from the free throw line. SE pushed its lead out to as many as 11 points before settling on an 83-76 final score.
