SE Set to Host Reddies

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will aim to put itself atop the Great American Conference standings when it hosts Henderson State on Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena in the team's fall finale before Christmas Break.
 
The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 7-1 record overall on the year and a 3-1 mark in GAC play, good for a six-way tie for the top spot which the Storm would break heading to the holiday season as Tuesday afternoon's matchup is the final conference contest for the league until Jan. 3.
 
Southeastern enters the matchup led by Kevin Buckingham who is third in the GAC in scoring with 19.1 ppg and the only player in the league averaging a double-double with 10.9 rpg.
 
He leads a foursome of double-digit scorers, with Kellen Manek right behind at 14.8 ppg, followed by Jett Jobe with 13.4 and Adam Dworsky at 10.4 per outing.
 
The Storm offense is averaging 84.1 ppg which ranks second in the league and owns the conference's best average scoring margin at plus-18.1 ppg
 
SE's offense is also averaging a league-best 20.0 assists per game as a team, led by Dworsky who is second in the GAC with 5.8 apg, while Jobe is fourth in the league with 5.3 per game.
 
Southeastern also takes care of the ball and owns a 2.0 assists/turnover ratio.
 
The Storm also hauls in 40.3 rebounds per contest, and on average outrebounds its opponents by 6.5 rebounds per game.
 
HSU comes in with a 7-3 record on the season overall and a 2-2 mark in GAC play after a 73-58 home loss to Arkansas-Monticello in its last game out.
 
Rel Johnson and Chris Parker pace the squad in scoring with 12.7 ppg and 12.2 ppg, respectively, while the Reddies are averaging 78.9 ppg while allowing 71.9 per outing by its foes.
 
Mike Fofana leads the team on the boards with 7.6 rebounds per game, while HSU holds a 38.8-to-34.7 edge in rebounds as a team.
