DURANT, Okla. –
Neely Noel came off the bench to lead all scorers in the contest as Southeastern pulled away from Southern Nazarene in the fourth quarter to pick up a 66-49 victory on Thursday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 3-3 overall on the year and 2-1 in Great American Conference play with a Dec. 8 matchup against Northwestern Oklahoma State set for 1 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

Noel paced all scorers with 15 points on the night, hitting 5-of-7 from three-point range in 20 minutes of work off the bench. Â

Three other SE players reached double-digits, with
Kamryn Cantwell and
Briley Moon each turning in 13 points while
Katie Webb finished with 10 points.

Cantwell added five assists to lead the team, while Moon handed out three.

Webb completed her third double-double of the season with 10 rebounds to go with her 10 points.

Southeastern finished the contest shooting 38.9 percent from the field, but added seven threes and posted a 17-of-19 effort at the free throw line, including a perfect 9-of-9 mark in the second half.

The contest was back-and-forth in the early going, with SNU leading much of the first quarter, including going up 13-11 with 1:49 to go in the frame before a Noel three on the next possession would give SE its 14-13 lead at the end of one quarter.

The Crimson Storm would briefly regain the lead on the first possession of the second quarter, but a 6-0 run capped by a pair of Moon free throws would put Southeastern out in front 20-15 by the 6:17 mark.

SNU would close the gap to two points before the Savage Storm reeled off a 7-0 run to go up by nine points before settling on a 30-23 lead at halftime.

The Crimson Storm again trimmed the lead in the early going of the third quarter, but a Webb layup would get the momentum heading the other way as SE would pull ahead, advancing its lead to double-digits on a Noel three with less than a minute to go in the third before taking a 46-36 lead to the final intermission.

SNU would close to within eight points with 6:13 to play, but the Storm would close out the contest on a massive 16-3 run to pull ahead by as many as 21 points before settling on a 66-49 final score.
