Jobe and Henderson Power SE past OBU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Jett Jobe and Markell Henderson each posted 20-point outings on Saturday afternoon to lift Southeastern to an 88-79 win over Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Ark.
 
The win improves the Savage Storm to 12-10 overall on the season and 11-6 in Great American Conference play.
 
Henderson made his return to the lineup after a three week absence due to injury on Thurday, but properly announced his return against the Tigers after going 8-of-17 from the floor, including four threes, for 21 points.

Jobe finished as the team's leading scorer with 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting with five threes and a 4-of-4 effort at the free throw line.
 
A'Torey Everett was next in line with 17 points, while Kevin Buckingham added 16 in the effort.
 
SE shot 55.4 percent from the field, including a 66.7 percent mark in the second half.
 
Adam Dworsky dished out seven assists to trigger the offense, while Jobe was right behind with six.
 
Buckingham led the team on the glass with seven rebounds with Henderson next in line at four.
 
A huge 12-0 run early, powered by five Buckingham points, pushed the Storm out to an early 14-6 lead.
 
SE would carry its eight point advantage through the midpoint of the first half before a 10-0 run by the Tigers would cap a rally and give the home team a 27-25 lead with 3:18 to go in the half.
 
The Storm would briefly regain the lead, but OBU would get the last points of the half and lead 32-31 at the half.
 
SE stayed close early in the second and an Everett layup would kick off a 9-0 run which would give the Storm the lead and was part of a bigger 25-7 push ultimately capped by a Henderson three to put Southeastern out in front 60-45 with 11:55 to play.
 
Another 10-0 run would push the lead to its largest at 71-54 with 6:35 to play.
 
However, a 10-0 OBU run would quickly close that lead to just seven points with 2:30 to play.
 
That was as close as the Tigers would get though as Southeastern would go 10-of-11 at the free throw line over the final 1:17 to hold on for the 88-79 win.
