EDMOND, Okla. – A pair of errors proved costly as Southeastern dropped a midweek single game against in-state rival Central Oklahoma on Tuesday afternoon in Edmond, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 3-4 overall on the year heading into the Great American Conference opener Feb. 16-17 at Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Ark.

Joseph Cerda collected a pair of hits, while
Easton Elliott,
Bryce Deatherage,
Austin Ferguson,
Dan Weer,
Caleb Dubler and
Travis Spinney each added one.

Dubler would drive in a pair of runs, while Elliott tacked on a solo homer with Feguson and
Brett Akins plating one run apiece.

Collin Jameson got the start and tossed 3.0 innings but was tagged for six runs, only one of which was earned, while allowing four hits and striking out three.

Cody Johnson tossed an inning in relief and struck out one before Deatherage came on and tossed 3.0 innings and allowed four runs on five hits with four strikeouts.

Bridger Dauenhauer tossed the final inning of work and allowed two hits but no runs.

Elliott opened the game with a lead-off home run in the top of the first inning, but UCO would even the score with an unearned run in the bottom of the second to take advantage of an SE error.

The Bronchos struck next with a five-run third inning to open up a 6-1 advantage that would stretch to 7-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning.

A Ferguson RBI single in the top of the sixth would get the Storm offense moving again, which was followed by an Akins sac fly to score Deatherage to make it 7-3.

After singles from Cerda and Weer, Dubler would tack on a two-run single to bring in both runners and close the deficit to 7-5 midway through the sixth inning.

UCO would tack on three runs in the bottom of the seventh with a solo homer and a two-run double to take a 10-5 lead which would prove to be the final margin.
