Sa'Liesha Hunter to send the game to overtime, but were unable to get on track in the extra frame, falling at Henderson State 79-70 on Thursday night in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 9-12 overall and 7-9 in Great American Conference play heading into a Saturdat after noon matchup with Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m. in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Courtney Brady paced SE with 16 points, while Hunter added 11 with
Chandler Kemp coming off the bench with 13 points.

Taten Hyde and
Emem David each turned in nine with Tracy Johson adding eight.

Brady, Hunter and Hyde each dished out a pair of assists.

Hyde pulled down a team-best 12 rebounds as the Storm held a 39-to-37 edge on the glass.

Brady scored five of SE's first seven points and the Storm jumped out to a 7-2 lead early, but a 10-0 Reddie run would erase the lead and leave Southeastern in a 12-7 hole.

Tracy Johnson three would kick off seven straight points in response and the teams would fight to a 16-16 tie at the first quarter break.

The teams traded one-possession leads to open the second quarter before a Storm 7-0 run would put them in front 28-23 with 4:18 to go in the half.

The scoring would slow over the final four minutes and SE would take a 31-27 lead into the half.

Southeastern jumped out to a four-point lead in the third quarter, but an 11-2 HSU run would put the Reddies up 43-38 with 4:32 to go, but the Storm would use a 9-4 run over the final four minutes to knot the game at 47-47 at the end of the third.

A 12-5 run to open the fourth would put SE up 59-52, but HSU would whittle the Storm lead down and eventually take a 69-66 lead with 48 seconds to play.

The Reddies led 70-68 with 12 seconds to play when Hunter would connect on a layup to tie the game and send it to overtime tied at 70-70.

Unfortunately, the Storm offense hit a wall in the extra frame, going 0-for-8 in OT and falling 79-70.
