BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Fourth-seeded Southeastern will open its postseason run on Friday, March 2 at noon when it takes on No. 5 seed Arkansas Tech at Bruin Fieldhouse in Bartlesville, Okla.
The Savage Storm finished the season tied for third in the league and took the four seed due to tiebreakers and head into the postseason with a 14-13 record on the year and completed the conference season with a 13-9 record.
The Wonder Boys finished the year at 18-10 overall and 12-10 in GAC play.
SE Is led by a foursome of double-digits scorers who are paced by a pair of second team all-conference selections in
Kevin Buckingham and
Markell Henderson.
Buckingham leads the way with 14.8 ppg, while Henderson is right on his heels with 14.4 per contest.
Jett Jobe is hitting 40.9 percent from three-point range on his way to averaging 12.1 ppg, while
A'Torey Everett is adding 11.0 points per outing.
Adam Dworsky triggers the offense to the tune of 4.9 assists per game, while Jobe is dishing out 4.2 per contest.
Buckingham leads the way on the glass with 6.4 rebounds per game, while Henderson is next in line with 5.0 per outing.
Southeastern dropped both matchups with Arkansas Tech on the year, falling 84-82 at home in November when the Wonder Boys hit a buzzer beater, and fell 72-65 in January during four-game stretch when playing without Henderson due to an injury.
ATU is led by RJ Glasper who is averaging 19.7 ppg to lead a group of five players averaging double-figures.
Freddy Lee leads the offense with 5.0 assists per game, while Montrell Williams leads the way on the glass with 6.4 rebounds per game.
