ALVA, Okla. – Southeastern picked up its fifth-straight win by sweeping Northwestern Oklahoma State in Friday's twinbill, taking game on 6-2 before picking up an extra-inning win, 6-5 in eight innings in the nightcap in Alva, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 11-8 overall on the season and 5-1 in Great American Conference play with the final two games of the series slated for noon on Saturday.

Destiny Riddle,
Keeshia Thompson, and
Sydnee Hinkle each posted three hits, while
Karsyn Brigance added a pair of hits.

Hinkle drove in a pair of runs, while Brigance and
Mykaela Wallace added an RBI each.

Kelsey Meeks got the start and collected the complete game victory after allowing two runs on seven hits in seven innings pitched with a pair of strikeouts.

NWOSU took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning, but SE answered in the fifth, knotting the game when Riddle scored on an error and taking the lead on a Brigance RBI double.

Wallace followed up with a two-run homer, with Hinkle adding a solo shot to go up 5-1.

Hinkle would add an RBI double in the seventh to go up 6-1 and would hold on for a 6-2 win.

Elexis Watson posted a pair of hits in the nightcap, while Thompson drove in a pair of runs.

Brigance would score in the top of the second, which was followed in the third by solo homers from Thompson and Watson to open up a 4-0 lead.

The Rangers would rally with four-straight solo homers, one in each inning from the third through the sixth to tie the game at 4-4.

Wallace would break the tie in the top of the eighth with a sac fly to score Thompson and Hinkle would plate a pinch running
Marilyn Maas to open up a 6-4 lead and would hold on for a 6-5 win.
