DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's basketball will open the 2019-20 season when it heads to Denton, Texas, it takes on Texas Woman's at 7 p.m.

The Savage Storm come into the season picked to finish sixth in the Great American Conference after finishing sixth-place finish a season ago with a 14-013 record overall and a 12-10 mark in league play, but did not have a senior on the team last season and will also be welcoming back a pair of starters who saw their season end early due to injuries.

That group is led by
Katie Webb who despite not being able to finish the season was still an All-Central Region selection and earned first team All-GAC honors after averaging 20.5 ppg and pulling down 7.4 rebounds per contest.

Joining her in returning from injury will be sophomore
Kamryn Cantwell who was the team's number two scorer when she saw her season come to an end at the halfway point. She was averaging 13.5 ppg and hauling in 5.4 rpg and was averaging 2.9 assists per game.

They will be joining a bevy of returners, including 2018 GAC Freshman of the Year
Briley Moon who averaged 10.6 ppg last season, as well as seniors
Alix Robinson and
Tracy Johnson, and junior
Katie Branam who each started at least 21 games last season.

TWU comes into the contest with a game under their belts after downing Champion Christian 83-48.

London Archer and Ajine Taylor each had 13 points in that contest, while Carissa Moody handed out a a team-high four assists.

Moody also hauled in 10 rebounds to lead the team.
Â
Southeastern will follow up with its home opener on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. against Oklahoma Christian in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
