DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to build on its current winning streak and continue to climb in the conference standings when it hosts Southern Arkansas at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21 followed by Arkansas-Monticello at 3 p.m. on Feb. 23 in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 16-6 record overall and a 12-6 mark in Great American Conference play which puts them currently in a tie for third.

SE has the longest current winning streak on the conference and will need it to continue if it hopes to make a late push to improve its spot in the standings as the Muleriders come to Durant sitting second, while the Boll Weevils head into the weekend tied for fifth in a tight race for seeding in the GAC tournament.

The Storm will continue to look to the two-time reigning GAC Player of the Week
Kevin Buckingham who is coming off four-straight 20-point games and back-to-back double-doubles. He is third in the GAC in scoring with 20.3 ppg, while leading the conference on the boards with 9.5 rpg.

He is joined in double-figures on the year by
Jett Jobe who has 13.4 and
Kellen Manek who is averaging 13.0 ppg on the season.

SE dropped its first meeting with both teams, falling by single digits in each contest, 68-060 at UAM and 73-64 at SAU. However, the Storm is 7-2 since those losses.

The Muleriders come to town second in the league with an 18-6 record overall and a 13-5 mark in league play. They are paced by a trio of players in DeVante Brooks, CJ Elkins, and Jalen Brooks who average between 10.3 and 10.7 ppg each.

The Boll Weevils come into the weekend with a 15-9 overall record and an 11-7 record in GAC play. UAM is led by a trio of scorers as well, with KJ Lesure, Austin Hardy, and Darnell Wright averaging between 12.1 and 12.6 ppg each.
