WEATHERFORD, Okla. –
Katie McCullar collected two home runs, seven RBI and a win in the circle as Southeastern swept Southwestern Oklahoma State on Monday with a 9-7 win in the opener and an 8-4 victory in the series finale.

The sweep moves the Savage Storm to 5-9 on the season and 3-1 to open Great American Conference play.
Â
Elexis Watson and
Keeshia Thompson collected three hits piece for the Storm in the first game, while
Destiny Riddle and
Hope Deanda added two each.
Â
Katie McCullar turned in a team-best four RBI, all on a homer, while Riddle Drove in three. Thompson and Deanda added one RBI each.
Â
McCullar also collected the win in the circle with 4.0 innings pitched and four runs allowed on seven hits with four strikeouts.

Riddle picked up the save with 3.0 innings pitched while allowing three runs on seven hits.

SE got on the board in the first when Riddle squeezed home Watson for the first run, but SWOSU answered with a run in the bottom half to tie the game at 1-1.

Deanda would double home a run in the top of the second and Riddle would add a two-run double of her own to mount a 4-1 edge.

The Bulldogs got a run in the bottom half and another in third to close the Storm lead to 4-3.

SE would get moving in the top of the fourth, first when Watson scored on a bases-loaded walk by Thompson before McCullar cleared the bases with a grand slam to put the Storm in front 9-3.

SWOSU would pick up a run in the sixth and three more in the seventh before the Storm held on for the 9-7 win.

Riddle turned in a 3-for-5 outing at the plate in game two, while Thompson, McCullar, and Amador turned in two hits apiece.

McCullar finished the contest with four RBI, while Amador drove in two runs.

McCullar got SE on the board in the top of the first with a three-run homer and an Amador single later in the inning would stake Southeastern to a 4-0 lead.

McCullar and Amador would add RBI hits in the third to push the edge to 6-0, but the Bulldogs would get a run back and make it 6-1 after three.

SWOSU would tack on another run in the fifth inning to close SE's lead to 6-2, but The Storm would tack on two more runs when Riddle reached on an error in the top of the seventh to take an 8-2 lead.

SWOSU would get two runs on a homer in the seventh, but the Storm would again hold on for the 8-4 win.
