Men's Tennis Reaches GAC Final

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern advanced to the Great American Conference Tournament Finals for the second-straight year after downing Ouachita Baptist 4-3 in the quarterfinals on Friday morning in Bentonville, Ark.

The win moves the Savage Storm to 9-6 overall on the season and sets up a title match against Harding at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The Storm fell behind early after losing the doubles point, but Benjamin Finet would respond with a 6-4, 6-2 win at number five to even the match at 1-1.

A win at two singles by Ouachita Baptist would put SE in a hole again and this time it was Danrich Kruger who would post a 6-1, 6-4 win at four singles to again even the match at 2-2.

The Storm would drop the three position to again face a deficit, but again SE would have an answer as Milos Vuckovic would need three sets to pick up a 6-0, 3-6, 6-2 win at the six position to tie the score at 3-3.

The reigning GAC Player of the year would show why as he would pick up a 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 win at the top singles spot to secure the 4-3 win for the Storm.
