DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern saw its 2019 season come to an end on Saturday with a pair of heartbreaking one-run losses at rival East Central, dropping game one 6-5 in 10 innings before falling in the finale 5-4 in Ada, Okla.

The losses bring the Savage Storm season to an end with a 22-21 record overall and a 15-15 mark in Great American Conference play.

Luke Thomas collected three hits to lead the way in the opener on Saturday, while five others picked up one apiece.
Â
Caleb Dubler drove in a pair of runs, while
Austin Ferguson, Thomas, and
Chris Eusay each added an RBI.

Logan Teske got the start and tossed 4.2 innings allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts.

Jacob Bigham came on in relief and allowed three runs on six hits in 2.2 innings before handing the ball to
Kenneth Klier who would suffer the loss after allowing a run on three hits in 2.1 innings with three K's.
Jordan Compton faced one batter and allowed a hit.

ECU took a 1-0 lead in the first, but a Ferguson RBI double in the fourth would tie the game at 1-1.

Eusay would get the Storm moving in the fifth inning with an RBI double and later in the inning Dubler would plate two on a double to stretch the lead to 4-1.

ECU would pick up a second run in the bottom of the fifth, but SE had an answer for it in the sixth on a Thomas RBI triple to go ahead 5-2.

However, the Tigers would pick up a run in the seventh and two runs in the eighth to force the game to extra innings before picking up a walk-off win in the bottom of the 10
th.

Dubler added two more hits in the finale while five others had one each.

Davis Jenks, and Thomas each drove in a run.

Bryce Deatherage got the start and tossed a complete game in the loss, allowing five runs, three earned, on 10 hits in 6.1 innings pitched with four strikeouts.

SE opened the game with back-to-back doubles from
Drew Bolin and Dubler to take a 1-0 lead.

It grew to 2-0 on a Jenks sac fly and expanded further in the first inning on an ECU error and a double steak with Ortiz stealing home for a 4-0 lead out of the gate.

The game would remain 4-0 until a two-run fourth cut the SE lead in half and two more Tiger runs in the fifth tied the game at 4-4 where it stood heading to the bottom of the seventh.

ECU would collect the game's final run to hand the Storm a 5-4 loss.
