Storm Men Welcome HU, ATU to Town

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern sets out to bounce back from its first loss of the new year when it returns to the friendly confines of Bloomer Sullivan Arena for back-to-back home games, first hosting Harding at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 followed by a Feb. 2 contest with Arkansas Tech at 3 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm are coming off a weekend split on its road trip to Arkansas which ended a six-game winning streak and dropped them to 15-4 overall on the season and 9-3 in Great American Conference play leaving them tied for first place in the conference.
 
SE faced off with Harding previously on Jan. 4 in Searcy, Ark., and left with an 80-64 victory, but will be looking to avenge a 74-70 loss at ATU in Russellville, Ark.
 
The Storm offense is putting up 81.4 ppg as a team and shooting 49.3 percent from the floor as a team, led by the league's third-ranked scorer Kevin Buckingham.
 
Buckingham is averaging 21.6 ppg on the season and shooting 57.2 percent from the field while hauling in 7.7 rebounds per game.
 
Adam Dworsky is putting up 14.7 ppg while triggering the offense with 8.6 assists per game which ranks second in the nation.
 
Kayo Goncalves is next in line with 13.1 ppg while pulling down a GAC-leading 8.4 rebounds per game.
 
Kellen Manek and A'Torey Everett are each averaging double-figures as well with 11.8 and 10.5 ppg, respectively.
 
The Bisons come in with a 7-11 record overall and a 2-10 mark in league play and have dropped eight of their last nine.
 
HU is led by one of the league's best scorers in Romio Harvey who is averaging 21.4 ppg and dishing out 2.5 assists per game.
 
The Bisons are led on the boards by Joel Polius who is pulling down 6.4 rpg and posting 1.2 blocked shots per outing.
 
The Wonder Boys come into the weekend with an 11-7 record overall and a 7-5 mark in GAC play.
 
ATU is paced by RJ Glasper who is putting up 17.8 ppg and dishing out 6.2 assist per game.
 
Devante Foster leads the Wonder Boys on the boards with 7.7 rpg.
