Southeastern Women Host HU, ATU

DURANT, Okla. – No. 23/25 Southeastern will be looking to start a new winning streak when it returns home to host Harding at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 in Bloomer Sullivan Arena, followed by a Feb. 2 home matchup with Arkansas Tech at 1 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm are coming off a weekend split on its road trip to southwestern Arkansas which ended an eight-game winning streak and dropped them to 13-3 overall on the season and 10-2 in Great American Conference play but the team managed to return home with its two-game lead in conference play intact.
 
SE faced off with Harding previously on Jan. 4 in Searcy, Ark., and left with a 92-72 victory which came on the heels of an 85-58 win over Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark.
 
The Storm offense is putting up 75.8 ppg as a team and shooting 45.8 percent from the floor as a team, led by the league's leading scorer Katie Webb.
 
Webb is putting up 18.7 ppg while shooting 50.0 from the field, while Kamryn Cantwell ranks third in the conference with 15.9 ppg.
 
Briley Moon rounds out the team's double-digit scorers with 11.2 ppg while ranking second in the GAC in three-point shooting at 47.1 percent.
 
Webb also leads the team in rebounding with 7.7 rpg, while Cantwell and Webb are each averaging 3.0 assists per game or more.
 
The Bisons come in with an 11-7 record overall and an 8-4 mark in league play but have won four-straight.
 
HU features a trio of double-digit scorers led by Carissa Caples who is putting up 12.1 ppg, while Peyton Padgett is dishing out 4.4 assists per game.
 
The Bisons are led on the boards by Jacie Evans who is pulling down 6.1 rpg, while Caples is averaging a blocked shot per game.
 
The Golden Suns come into the weekend with an 11-5 record overall and an 8-4 record in GAC play and have won three-straight.
 
ATU is paced by Kaley Shipman who is putting up 11.6 ppg, while Ke'Vonsha Stackhouse is right behind at 11.3 per outing.
