SE Hosts HSU, OBU to Close out Regular Season

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to close out the regular season, first with a 7:35 p.m. matchup against Henderson State on Feb. 27 as part of the NCAA Division II Showcase before closing out the season with a senior day contest against Ouachita Baptist at 3 p.m. on Feb. 29.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 20-7 record overall and a 14-6 mark in Great American Conference play and most recently slipped one spot in the NCAA Central Region rankings to No. 3.
 
Thursday's games will be carried in what is called the hybrid model which means that it will be available across a wide range of outlets via the NCAA and institutional Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as on the Southeastern Sports Network.
 
Kevin Buckingham paces the SE offense with a team-leading 21.1 ppg while shooting 57.7 percent from the floor and hauling in 7.6 rebounds per game.
 
Kellen Manek are next in line with 14.1 ppg while pulling down 6.3 rpg and handing out 3.0 assists per outing.
 
Adam Dworsky is right behind with 14.0 ppg while dishing out a national-best 8.6 assists per contest.
 
Kayo Goncalves checks in with 12.1 ppg while hitting 47.3 percent from beyond the arc which paces the conference while also leading the league in rebounding at 8.9 rpg.
 
HSU comes into Thursday's contest with a 19-7 record overall and a 14-6 mark in GAC play.
 
Chris Parker leads the Reddies with 14.9 ppg, while Raekwon Rogers is next in line with 12.1 ppg and pulling down a team-best 7.7 rpg.
 
OBU makes the trip with a 12-13 record overall on the season and a 9-11 mark in league play.
 
Allie Freeman leads a trio of double-digit average scorers with 13.3 ppg, while Kendarious Smith is putting up 10.9 ppg and pulling down 4.9 rpg.
