BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – For the second time in the last 10 days Southeastern's matchup with Henderson State came down to a final shot, but this time the Savage Storm were unable to connect, falling 76-73 in the semifinals of the Great American Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Bartlesville, Okla.

The loss drops SE to 23-8 overall on the season and send them into the waiting game as they will find out their further postseason destiny on Sunday night when the NCAA announces its tournament bids.

Southeastern featured a trio of players who posted double-doubles in
Adam Dworsky,
Kayo Goncalves, and
Kellen Manek.
Â
Dworsky finished the contest with 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting, and with his 14
th point in the game he passed the 1,000 career point mark. He added 10 assists in the effort to complete his eighth double-double of the season. Â

Goncalves also turned in 21 points, hitting 5-of-9 from beyond the arc while hauling in 11 rebounds.

Manek turned in 15 points with a trio of threes and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds while handing out five assists.

After HSU scored the first five points of the game, a Manek three would trigger a 12-0 run capped by another Manek jumper to take a 12-5 lead.

The Reddies answered with a 24-8 run that left the Storm trailing 29-20 with 4:41 to go in the first half.

SE answered over the final 4:17, outscoring HSU 17-4 over that span with a Dworsky layup at the buzzer giving Southeastern a 37-33 halftime lead.

The Storm held onto the lead until a 14-2 run by the Reddies put them back in front 49-44 with 12:12 to play.

Southeastern responded and used an 18-5 run to go in front 64-56 with 6:46 to go.

HSU would again rally though and with 1:42 to play would take a 72-70 lead.
Â
A Dworsky three would answer with 1:16 on the clock, regaining the lead at 73-72.
Â
However, the Reddies would go 4-of-4 at the free throw line and SE would miss three three-point tries over the final 30 seconds to fall 76-73.
